Dr. Hickey has often been called a “diagnostic detective” because of his comprehensive approach to investigative patient examination. In-depth consultations with Dr. Hickey include a thorough medical exam and review of your medical history, current lab work and test results. Based on your results, Dr. Hickey will provide you with a program to obtain, achieve and reach your optimum health goals.

The Hickey Wellness Center can address sports and fitness related conditions and also conducts all standard lab work, consisting of but not limited to: hormone panels, thyroid panels, complete metabolic panel (CMP), complete blood count (CBC), PSA (for prostate health), cardiovascular assessment, vitamin D panel, urinalysis, and autoimmune disease testing.

Arterial Health

Involves identifying, treating and substantially improving arterial health: coronary, cerebral & peripheral. Includes diagnosis and treatment of related causes due to lifestyle, diet and family history.

Fibromyalgia

Includes diagnosing and treating this common syndrome in which a person suffers long-term pain and tenderness in joints, muscles and soft tissues throughout the body. Fibromyalgia has also been linked to fatigue, sleep problems, headaches, depression and anxiety.

Autoimmune Diseases

Dr. Hickey specializes in identifying and treating a variety of autoimmune diseases, such as “leaky gut syndrome,” which are often difficult to diagnose.

Heavy Metal Toxicity

Heavy metal toxicity is known to cause a variety of diseases and neurological issues, such as fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and problems associated with MRI Gadolinium toxicity. Treatment includes measurement and removal of heavy metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum, bismuth and gadolinium.

Metabolic Syndrome

Involves the detection and treatment of metabolic syndrome – a group of metabolic disorders that make up risk factors for cardiovascular disease, diabetes and/or stroke. Risk factors include abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, elevated lipoproteins and insulin resistance.
